On October 14, at the 4.4-megawatt poverty-alleviation photovoltaic plant in Maduo County, Golog Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province (elevation: 4,300m), rows of polycrystalline silicon panels glittered like diamonds under the sun. This highest-altitude poverty-relief solar station in China has brought vibrant vitality to the unseasonably early winter pastures of the plateau, igniting new hope for impoverished households in Maduo to lift themselves out of poverty.
